Direction of culture set, not by politicians, but by mega asset manager puppeteers e.g. Blackrock, Vanguard, Carlyle etc. They illicitly, if not illegally, coopt the proxy votes of pension fund investors to enable their own enlightened, as they see it, pursuit of woke social policy.

On energy. US has abandoned pursuit of energy independence and is on course to fall over an energy cliff where energy supply, sooner than widely appreciated, will fall far short of energy demand, resulting in rapidly escalating energy costs and economic hardship.

My note on energy. Utah, in particular, is facing an energy cliff where EPA is pushing for premature shutdown of Utah coal plants before planned nuke, solar, wind, and gas backup comes on stream.
