European pusillanimity AND Russian resolve... capacity to suffer for the Motherland. Putin has limits as to how far he can push his people, but he's still well shy of need to conscript. Putin remains a popular leader in Russia, even at this stage. Also, lets mention, Ukranian lack of resolve. Ukrainian young men are like US young men during the Viet Nam war. Who wants to get conscripted only to enter a meat grinder of Russian artillery? We'll soon see holes in the vaunted Ukranian "patriotism" the Davos/Dem lacky US corporate press wants to shore up.

Putin's pariah status as a ruthless enemy will soon be forgotten as Germans freeze in their homes this winter. This is not what I want to happen. It's what will happen, largely brought on by weak, flaccid Western leadership and a misbegotten Western energy policy. Putin, continues to play a bad hand well.
