Modern Art Sucks

Above: Pile of Glass Shards. Robert Smithson.
Compare El Greco's magnificent Expolio de Christo hanging in Toledo's (Spain) cathedral (which I saw in 2018) with Robert Smithson's (Spiral Jetty) piles of glass shards. Which if these two pieces of art required more artistic expertise?
While at Dia Beacon Museum on the Hudson in 2016 with TIMDT, Hoops, and Bronx Girl and I witnessed a young docent break down in tears as she extolled Smithson's glass shard pile. I felt so bad seeing this young girl besotted with an artistic fraud.
I have been out to see Smithson's Spiral Jetty on the edge of the Great Salt Lake a coupla (sic) times. It's an excellent example of rock placement. It is no more art than Smithson's glass shards.
