Great read. Thanks for sharing it.
Also informed by experience and formal economic education in the Austrian School mode, I have long held that what we face is akin to what Jefferson wrote in his 1816 letter to Samuel Kercheval:
"This example reads to us the salutary lesson, that private fortunes are destroyed by public as well as by private extravagance. And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of the society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery, and to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering. Then begins, indeed, the bellum omnium in omnia, which some philosophers observing to be so general in this world, have mistaken it for the natural, instead of the abusive state of man. And the fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression."
Bellum omnium in omnia - the war of all against all - is a fair description.
Not even Biden voters will escape this catastrophic burden, as will eventually fall on all of America through internecine conflict, a crashed monetary system, runaway inflation and a shrinking economy and it will fall hardest on those of modest means.
There is no “quick fix” and there is no escape.

Fabulous piece. Rothbard predicts the bipolar struggle between progressives and reactionaries we see today. He confirms my own instincts, derived from life experience and study, that there is no middle ground in this fight. I learned, reading this, why Trump is so vilified and why Elon's Twitter is doomed to fail as those opposing free speech... corporations and progressives, will abandon it when alternative voices (The Babylon Bee?) are given free reign. Red tsunami or not, the fight for liberty has only just begun.
