Picto Diary - 01, 02 April 2017 - DV Top 5 First World Complaints
Above: Two Images. Deer Valley. 01 April 2017.
1. Jordanelle. 9:15 AM. (Glorious vista into the sun)
2. Wizard run on Bald Mountain. From top Crown Point lift.

Combining energy level, ski surefootedness, and conditions (crisp
bluebird) about as good of a ski experience as I've had in some time.
Joined (chance meet up) Maharaja for a burger at Snow Park.
Deer Valley Resort. Top 5 First World Complaints:
1. Lady Morgan safety bar hits my head.
2. Jordanelle skied off by employees pre open.
3. No cups at cashiers for loose change.
4. Occasionally my truck blocked in at parking.
5. No simple, safe annual ski pass mount.
6. Patrol curtails, but doesn't ban, skiing to side entrance to Cushings.
Note: If I stiffen my upper lip and gird up my loins, I think I'll be able to get through dealing with these "first world" issues.

(928 vertical feet per lift ridden = 1MM vertical feet skied ytd. I think
I'm there, maybe a bit more).
Flat lite, lotta hard pack. No sun to loosen up snow. Mountaineer and
Peeler were exceptions.
It was a very good year. Skiing as a family affair, per above. Also,
much improved turning capability on steeps was the big step forward.
Favorite run of the year? Mikeys. PCM.
Favorite DV run? Orion.
