Monument marks the spot of a colloquy between Brigham Young and Jim Bridger in late June, 1847.

Bridger told Young that settlement in the valley of the Great Salt Lake was a fools errand. He said he would give Young $1000 for the first bushel of corn grown there. — at Big Sandy River (Wyoming).

Resist!

The new Maverick convenience stores are a step above anything else.

Lander to Park City, 275 miles, marks the final leg of Markco and Mwah's (sic) trip to the Billings Hill Climb.

Fitting that Markco and Mwah (sic) should start our trip... and end our trip, dining on steak tacos at Don Pedro's.

Addendum:

Hi Steve,

Quick email as I have limited access to internet. Will follow-up to you with more notes later. We are in Billings, and took your recommendation on Jake’s! This is part of a trip which has included Wall, the Bad Lands, Custer, and yes Sturgis (motor cycle week)…and we are not riders!

We have another week to go, but will eventually write up a travel log.

Enjoy your emails!

Best,

Flying Fish,
