I skied in seven calendar months during the 2022/2023 ski season. Today hit perfect snow windows on Silver Queen, Prospector, Assessment, and Dynamite.

Agree Casablanca should be near the top.

Thanks. Good list, so many other great movies missing (see Howard’s list). I would remove Blazing Saddles and insert Animal House. Original Blues Brothers, original Star Wars should also be added somewhere within the top 25. List should be expanded to top 50 and include Caddyshack?

Few major disagreements, but:
Casablanca deserves to appear in the top three;
Zulu should rank higher than 14
Plus, drop a few of the lesser lights and add:
Die Hard (the original, not the sequels – Alan Rickman plays one of the greatest villains of all time);
Citizen Kane;
Would also consider The African Queen, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Seven Samarai, and a personal favorite – Lost in Translation

Great minds think alike! 75% of your list of best movies are on my list....too funny.

Photo is the Mom and Pop motel I bunked at last night, $60.

Second photo is the manager/receptionist - maybe a new poster guy for "You meet the most interesting people when riding a Kawasaki!" A Dr. G marketing jungle.

Just finishing a road trip, some of that "adventure motorcycling" stuff: Montana to Mexico to Montana. 10 day loop, two in the blowing snows of Wyoming and Colorado and two in the Arizona and Nevada heat, both a far, far away place from where I left last month, motorcycling in my winter base camp of Thailand and SE Asia.

Think I might watch Blazing Saddles again this PM, off our Best Movie List. The location reminds me of the area I am now, in the Utah/Wyoming border sage brush and sandy country.
