John Johnson, Utah State Senator, is speaking about his bill calling for Utah public universities to restore the teaching of the core curriculum. Utah university presidents pressured the Senate Committee to table the bill, but the bill has legs for future legislative sessions. Johnson has attracted national attention for this effort.

One of the great missed opportunities in Park City was not privatizing the McPollin barn and turning it into a Mickey Gilley's night club... bands nightly, mechanical bull etc. Silos at right could have been painted as giant bullets with a sponsor name, like, say Browning on them. A Mickey Gilley's would have easily become a destination feature of Park City and would have easily accounted for 25% of the tax revenue into the city. PS. Had I been a graduate of Myles Rademan's justifiably acclaimed Leadership Park City course, I would have been conditioned to consider this notion absurd. :-)

Frank Richards is not going to do this (Utah nice?). And, really, I guess, its none of my business. Still, the sign is displayed for public viewing, so I'll comment. Were I he, I'd ask the city to either take the sign down now and/or replace it with a correct one. To be memorialized in bronze for a good deed is laudable - and everything about the Richards family is laudable - but to have the permanent plaque spell your name wrong shouldn't be tolerated.
