Vice President Kamala Harris visited Park City two days ago to attend a fundraiser for the Biden/Harris 2024 presidential campaign. There was a big traffic disruption as I-80 was closed for two hours due to the campaign event. I didn't attend the event. I wasn't invited.

There are many large donor Democrats who live in Park City. The best known (and co-organizer of the Harris event two days ago) is John Cumming, CEO of Powder Corp (Snowbird, Bachelor, Lee Canyon etc.). Joe Biden himself has paid a couple of fund-raising visits to Park City in the last five years. One wonders if Park City donors stepped up to contribute at Kamala's fundraiser yesterday in the wake of the previous day's televised debate between the President and former president Donald J. Trump. Many Democrat luminaries considered that Biden had a disastrous performance at the debate, and some want him removed from the 2024 presidential ticket. A precipitous removal of President Biden from the ticket seems premature to me. We are informed by the highly credible Joe Scarborough of MSNBC "Morning Joe," that he (Scarborough) had recently spent three hours with Biden and the president seemed at the top of his game. Let's take a deep breath, everyone! Anyone can have a bad night.

Two days ago was not Kamala's first visit to Park City. In 2009, Kamela, then California Attorney General, stayed for a few days at our Park City Old Town property, "The Yellow House." We had rented the Yellow House for the summer to Kamala's husband's (Doug Imhoff) parents. I remember the summer of 2009 vividly as there was a raft of constant complaints from our renters about this or that not meeting expectations at The Yellow House. There is a strong, and growing, possibility that Kamala will be President of the United States if this current debate result firestorm doesn't die down. Meanwhile, I am thinking of putting a commemorative brass plaque on the front of the Yellow House honoring Kamala Harris' 2009 stay.

Koessler family on their way to church. Bishop and TIMDT very proud of these guys! TIMDT and Mwah (sic) didn't join their rock jumping into Gunlock Reservoir outing a couple of days ago. But, by all accounts they had a great time.
