Two adventure motorcycle riders discuss what "adventure riding" really means. Does it mean long distance motorcycle riding around the world. Or does it mean off road riding in challenging terrain? Does it mean both? Dr. G. has ridden around the world on a motorcycle six times. He has published in the motorcycle press widely and written twenty books about his motorcycling adventures. Guzzi's adventures are mostly in the US and almost always on dirt. Each is an adventure rider and their different riding choices attest to the broad definition of motorcycle adventure riding.

Dr. G was a house guest this evening. Eight others with a motorcycle connection joined Greg and Mwah (sic) for dinner at our home. Dr. G, (Dr. Greg Frazier) is a motorcycle mentor of mine. I rode on a large dual sport motorcycle, on ten of the last twenty Big Dog rides that Greg guru-ed (sic), mostly in the Colorado Rockies. My first Big Dog was in 1998 in the Prior Range of southern Montana where our riding group came upon a herd, one hundred strong, of stampeding horses. We could only stop the bikes and gape at the incredible phenomenon. I have too many stories about Big Dog to tell here... flat tires, broken leg, crashes, three-thousand-foot drop offs and many wonderful ride-ending steak dinners with Big Dog riding mates. Always glad to host Dr. G when he passes this way.

Highly successful, even essential, avatar of stressed Western Culture. She always took the high road when those around her were scandalized. She was coronated in 1952. I was seven. I am now 77. Queen Elizabeth II. A figure in the public eye longer than anyone in my lifetime. Now we have Charles... a global warming alarmist. The Queen is Dead. Long live the King.
