Not a dry eye in the house.
Utah 1033 Foundation provides an immediate cash payment of $25K to the family of a fallen Utah police officer. Six payments have been made since 2016.
I am on the foundation's governing board. Here's a link.
If you are looking for worthy recipients of donations you can be sure that Utah 1033 Foundation qualifies.

Addendum:
I had to read this author for my Fr. Lit. Class. Still recall the opening line. It is the best summary of the sentiment of the author,
“Aujourd’hui, maman est morte. Ou peut-être hier, je ne sais pas.”

I wish I had read this book long ago because Meursault could be a member of my family.......IF I had French relatives. ;-)
We were always seen as very odd outsiders who never knew how to behave.
Sort of like me at Citibank ;-)

Wha....?!!!! A major fictional, literary character energizes the existentialist movement by acting out a fatalist view of life....but, what if, in the end, he was just suffering from a mental condition (at the time, undiscovered).... acting out nothing at all?! Now, that's real "existentialism!"
