Picto Diary - 01 to 10 May 2022 - Skyline Three Day Event, Mt. Pleasant, UT

2nd day. Bishop channels "horse grandpa" role as he assists FeeBee and Mynduveroan in trailering Ballou between Midway and Oakly.

Mynduveroan and Ballou performance at this clinic was stellar as the pair managed to walk and trot through the slats without brushing or kicking.

Today's clinic should prove to be good practice for the upcoming Skyline Three Day Event in Mount Pleasant, UT at the end of the week.

TIMDT's favorite for lunch. Also endorsed by Bishop. Though the food is consistently good, the airy atmosphere has a lot to do with TIMDT's preference. Wonderful, energizing, upbeat SLC spring scene through the broad picture windows.

Push a green button on the floor and the wax figures of famous people come to life with a short presentation. I pressed a dozen green buttons and was amazed at the competence of all of the young peoples' delivery.

We are never disappointed with children's performances at Carden. Kids always prepared. Always high-quality performance.

One can't help but impressed with Colin's passion about his car restoration hobby.

We happened on this garage, tipped off by sales lady in adjacent art gallery.

Spring City is a National Historic Site known for its restored nineteenth century pioneer homes and as a center for artisans and artists.

Skyline Three Day Event.

Skyline is a nationally sanctioned equestrian event. There were over 150 participants in beginner/novice, intermediate, and expert categories. Three events: dressage, cross country, and jumping. In her seventeen-rider beginner/novice category, Mynduveroan and Ballou scored first in jumping and third overall. Hypothetically, if the two seventeen rider beginner/novice groups were combined, Mynduveroan and Ballou would have scored fifth out of thirty-four. Impressive performance!

In October of 2021, TIMDT, Mwah, Freddie and a group of friends were walking down Main Street of Port Townsend, Washington. We encountered Mac and his owners. Naturally, newfie owners will stop to talk to one another and allow their animals to get acquainted as well.

The fifty something couple started when we said we were from Park City. "How about that," Ron said. "We're moving from northern California to Park City next Spring!" "Well look us up," I said. "I and Freddie can be found at Wasatch Bagel most mornings." Lo and behold, Ron, Donna, and Mac showed up at Wasatch Bagel this morning!! Mac (a rare brown newfie) and Freddie (an Irish spotted newfie) look forward to a beautiful friendship!

Addendum:

The garden looks like a watercolor painting. You should convert it to a “oil canvas” and hang at your primary home. Pastel colors are lovely. Hat tip to TIMDT.
