Shooting the rifles sounds very interesting, did you have a chance to bring the 454 out ? I would’ve been curious how the professionals did with that piece of equipment ! Congratulations on continuing your new lifestyle ; you are correct it’s not a diet to lose weight it’s a diet to eat properly so that your body can function normally, just one man’s opinion but I think it’s going to work 😎 please keep us all informed as your achievement at this stage of your life is terrific 👻

Good for you!

“no processed sugar, no processed carbs, no starch (potatoes, rice, pasta etc.”

I followed that diet, after reading Sugar Busters. I was 180 and dropped to 155, adding a mile run each day. 5’11” at the time. It works, with patience and time, your body accommodates.

The other time I lost a great deal of weight, I was just starting at PHILCAD (John Kulp leading the credit school, around 1976). I was in transition from Financial Controller for WCG-Asia and Ray Kathe to a corporate banker reporting to Umezono-san. I ate something that disagreed with me. To stem the flow, a local doctor prescribed Dilantin for the irregular heartbeat. I was allergic to this Rx and turned bright red with high fever. I spent five+ days at Makati Hospital. It was said I almost died. Bill and Ela Farnsworth would come to visit me as did Tom Noonan, head of WCG-PI, at the time.

I copy Ed as he will know the Citi team in Asia at the time. They all rallied on my behalf.

It is said “sugar” is the insidious agent detrimental to health. It is in everything, beer, bread, the basics, and oh so good.

I was in the Manila credit school in 1974. Then, Cameron Stone was head. No near death experience, thankfully. I got to know Tom Noonan in 1986 during my first Miami stint. He was WCG head there at the time.

I laud your honesty and encourage you to continue your weight loss regimen. No meds is the goal. Congratulations.

Love this! Elk is my favorite game meat, really favorite of all meats. So tender.

Make it a great day!
