REFLECTIONS FROM THE LIFT (1): "Fuzzy writing means fuzzy thinking:" an aphorism from friend, since deceased, Richard Morton. Invariably, when I sit down to write something, Dick's maxim comes to mind. I have moments when I write clearly, but, admittedly, I don't always measure up.

I had great admiration for Dick. We were both part owners of the Coral Oaks Tennis Club in Miami. Dick was a Miami Beach property baron. He owned a home in Aspen, CO.

Dick gave me my sobrequet, The Bishop. Reason: He claimed my views were rigid, doctrinaire...inflexible.

Dick and his wife Helen had a big ass RV well into Dick's '80's. They drove back and forth from Miami to Aspen. Helen had dogs and she didn't like to fly. Dick and Helen's RV life serves as a model for TIMDT and Mwah (sic) as we ramp up travel in the Sprinter.

A solitary ride on the Ruby lift brings back fond memories of Dick.

REFLECTIONS FROM THE LIFT (2) Carpenter. Fifty something Partner in a private equity firm avers Deer Valley has done a fantastic job this year considering little snow available at season beginning and restrictive health protocols required by the coronavirus pandemic. Stealing my talking points.

The 70% price increase for a Deer Valley season pass is too long in coming. I could never understand why the wealthiest cohort in the history of the world only paid half of the regular price for a Deer Valley season ski pass. Those who complained about this price increase...pass is still not priced at the level of the full season charge...should be ashamed of themselves, particularly given the outstanding job Deer Valley has done in the recent season having had low snowfall and coronavirus regs cards in the hand that they were dealt.

300 miles goes fast in Sprinter. 6

Hadyn on KBYU Classical FM (what a great station!). Podcast with Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand on the importance of mentorship and the necessity of raising children for full life fulfillment. Mark Levin trashing racist, segregationist, low life Joe Biden on Vernal, UT KVEL 920. Final stint into 'Boat: Country Classics on Country 55, KRAI, Craig, CO...Kenny Roger's Lucille; Tom T. Hall's, I Love, for two really great ones (another great station!)!

TIMDT opted out of excursion to help family member. Grandkids pickup from school when kids' Mom had to deal with non injury, but inconvenient prang. TIMDT best granny ever.

Huge vertical: 3600 feet. Image two: Last run went top to bottom. 2/3 way down in this image.

Top third: Fresh powder, though fog. Had to follow disembodied shapes down the run.

Middle third: Packed damp. At least I could see.

Lower third: Mashed potatoes. Actually the last run I took to the bottom was quite fun as I emphasized my turns.

I got 17K vertical feet out of my ten runs. Challenging resort. Challenging day. Reminds of Jackson Hole which I skied earlier in the year. Very pleased with my day skiing at Steamboat!

Bluebird. Spring skiing. We did a better than average job of picking the right runs at the right time.

Addendum:

I agree with you totally, getting down the slope in great fashion was nice but it was the sights and the feeling of the fresh air and being in the wonderful surroundings
