Image: Pulled right calf muscle being iced. Skiing at least at 20 mph, went flying on Wasatch (Deer Valley) access run. Helpful girl skier brings me my left ski and pole from fifty feet up the only slightly pitched run. My right ski, which remained attached to my boot, was responsible for the muscle pull. Notwithstanding some ache in the calf, I told the helpful girl that I didn't need any assistance from ski patrol. Stupidly, I skied four more runs through the pain. Now off the slope, the calf area is quite painful when moving, but no pain when immobile. TIMDT, after researching pulled calf muscles on internet, says I should refrain from skiing the next two weeks. Cause? The run was crowded. Likely my limited attention span, monomaniacal focused brain had too much information to process. Where is the Ibuprofen?

Blowout at 75 mph. AAA process to put on spare worked really well. All arranged digitally through the AAA app off the phone. Talked to no one until service guy arrived. Tracked the process of his arrival route real time on the phone. Not wanting to do another three hundred miles using an out of sync spare tire, we turned around and returned to Park City. This was probably a riskier event than we realized.

We restarted our trip to Ivins on the 12th. I returned to Park City the next day to meet some ski guests arriving later in the week. TIMDT and Freddie stayed in Ivins in the lower elevation (better for TIMDT's O2 deficiency) and warmer weather (better for TIMDT's cabin fever).
