Recommended (rightly, as it turns out) by John Galt prior to our arrival at Blue Valley RV Park in Walla Walla, WA later in the day. We were joined John Galt and Dagney Taggart for cocktails at the trailer park after which we dined together at TMACS in Walla Walla.

[Community activist] Angela Moschetta joined us and there was a robust discussion about the Arts and Culture project as well as the Deer Valley plans. Protect the Loop, the August 29th Consultants report to City Council at 3 PM and the PC. City planning commission made for one of the best ever Friday gatherings. All I can say is stay tuned and get informed. (Hat tip, reportage and image, 'Cake). Bishop, not in attendance at this meeting, breakfasted with TIMDT at Maple Counter in Walla Walla, WA, home of the best oatmeal on the planet.

Here TIMDT and Mwah (sic) enjoyed my 78th birthday bash. I had lobster deviled eggs, an appetizer, but still more than enough for lunch.

Bill Taylor was my boss at Citicorp Australia, Sydney, OZ, late 1978 to early 1979. TIMDT and Mwah (sic) built a friendship with Bill and Petty, who owned a ski condo in Park City, after we retired in Park City, UT in 1998. Bill was an integral part of the founding team of "Park Citi," an annual ski event hosting Citibank alumni and spouses annually in Park City for seven or eight years in the first decade of the aughts. Bill was also titular non-executive head of the Park Citi List, an email networking list, deriving from the promotional efforts for the ski event, linking some three hundred Asia Pacific Africa alumni from the '60's, 70's and 80's. Bill's Memorial service, ably executed by wife Petty and sons, Chris and John, was held a year from the date of his passing.

Note: Margaret and I attended a dinner party chez Bill and Petty at their condo in Seattle in September 2021, almost two years ago. We were on holiday in the Puget Sound area. At that time, Bill seemed pretty vital, and, as usual, was a top-notch host. Too many people talk about themselves these days. Not Bill. Bill conveyed a rare, but typical for him, empathetic warmth by showing sincere interest in what was going on in our lives. We were glad to have seen Bill not long before he passed. While our friendship blossomed during the more recent, retired, Park City days, Margaret and I will remember the Australia connection most fondly for how, we, as more junior people in the corporation, were graciously welcomed into Bill and Petty's social orbit.

Check the sticker just to the right of the ladder top on the Sprinter. PS. I didn't put it there, but I don't see any reason to remove it either.
