Repositioning ride. Phase One. Park City to Ivins.

Considering the possibility that TIMDT would be susceptible to do a winter ride I had to get the more comfortable motorcycle, the Goldwing, to Ivins in a good weather window. The trailer was in Ivins, so I had to ride the bike down as opposed to trailering it, an option where weather was less important.

TIMDT considered following me in the car. We could leave both bikes in Ivins and pull the trailer back in anticipation of another load of furniture and stuff to be delivered to Park City in December. In the end, TIMDT stayed put in Park City. Mine was a solitary visit.

Road route from St. George, UT to Park City, Utah. 310 miles. 17 November 2021.

I rode the 2015 Ducati Multistrada from St. George to Park City today. Weather was sunny. High temperatures along the route until Provo Canyon, 40 miles from destination, never exceeded 42 degrees. From Provo Canyon, the temperatures steadily declined to reach 30 degrees by the time I arrived home. I've long said that only snow stops a good ride... though the end of ride temperatures today tested that presumption.

Addendum
