All the kids, including Bud, did well!
Bud is one of two drummers in the band. Drummers alternate numbers. If a trombone doesn't show up, you can work around it. But, if a drummer can't be there... is sick, or something, you can't perform. Hence, two drummers.

Caleb Chapman Sound House brought four ensembles on this trip. Two big bands, a rock band, and a female choral group.
