Watched Bud straight line down Jordanelle. Mynduveroan, on new skis, straight lined Dew Drop Tunnel.

Bud led Mom and Mynduveroan into some dense bushes off piste off Mountaineer lift. I took an easy run. After waiting too long, I had ski patrol go look for them, but they emerged unscathed after a hairy exit. Told the two kids to make an adventure short story out of the experience for school.

Wonderful to see the kid's ski progress.

Burger at Snow Park after, where we saw Roller and Mauna Loa, looking fit.

Quit early.

Zoo-like today, considering it be a crowded Saturday, World Cup Aerials and Moguls on, and two major lifts (Sterling and Quincy) inoperative. DV gets a pass from this regular (Mwah [sic]) considering the great job they've done over the years. I hope, though, that DV's capital budget is robust as it applies to keeping their lifts in tip top shape.

Ran into Golf at Silver Lake, who said the Quincy was down since yesterday (though it was working in the AM when I was there) in need of a part that had to be shipped from Europe.

Golf, now fully retired, has a part time job with some of his old cronies in ski retailing. I wonder if this new activity will curtail his 200 days of golf per year average?

"He was your Dad's boss at US Steel," I replied when Golf asked me if I remembered George Jedanoff (sp?).

"Well," said Golf, "George is now 98, living in San Francisco, and he still skis. Next month, my brothers and I are hosting him on a ski visit here in Park City. George says he's looking for some powder shots."

Steve -

Very much enjoyed your travelogue in India. Would you please resend your “tiger safari” emails - I seem to have lost them.

Glad TIMDT survived....

...Cheers to one of the great snow years,
