Noon and still the snow has some corduroy showing. Fish, Mwah (sic), and Richard Nixon had skied this run twice first thing in the morning... the snow was hard... the skis ripped the corduroy. Here, the snow is like butter.

It always happens. April Surprise. It always happens... just when you think the snow will melt and the season will end early, new snow (two feet through the last three days of March) and cooler temperatures create perfect ski conditions.

9:30 AM. Like butter, corduroy surface. Lemming free. Can only be accessed via Red Cloud Lift which lemmings stay away from. Only groomed about once a week and today was one of those days. Best snow of the Spring. Faces the sun... great until 10 AM, after which time, in Spring, it turns to mashed potatoes.

Just for TIMDT and Mwah (sic)!

Suckers go to Northside!

What's wrong with this picture?

Mwah (sic) skied four runs with these guys. Ran me ragged. Certain areas had grabby snow, which I maintain is more difficult for skiers with a higher center of gravity... eg. Mwah (sic). Single Jack was the best run - snow wise - that I skied with the dynamic duo.

Who says my ski access is not "ski in, ski out?"

Snow bullet proof today. It rained last night and then froze. Wind chill and cloud occlusion kept the snow from softening up quickly. Dentist and Mwah (sic) practiced ice skating on skis before the break. There was some decent snow on Tycoon, Queen, and Kings Crown after the break. But, as TWO3 says, "we're experienced skiers, what matter the snow condition as long as we're enjoying the outdoors."

Addendum:

NO KIDDING. With all this new snow you should have no trouble making your goal of 100 ski days this season.

I struggled for a moment with Telephone, but then got it, clever! Ha!

Last year this time, we could go to any restaurant‎ and get table immediately. Tonight, with Riverhorse‎ and Goldener Hirsch two-for coupons in hand, hour wait at RH and no table at GH, but we were able to get table in bar at GH---never have seen it more than half full!! Vail effect or 2' snow?
