Also, nearby, spotted a Great Blue Heron that flew off before camera ready. Red Wing Blackbirds abound in this area.... at North 40.

TIMDT. Knitting fiend.

Spectacular work-in-progress shawl on the floor.

Great antidote to Coronavirus "stay at home" order.

Two benefits:

1. TIMDT at her most creative. She is a world class knitter. She gets great joy from plying her passion.

2. Diverts TIMDT attention away from obsessing whether she will be embarrassed by the admittedly less than perfect Bishop ie. "there's food spots in that shirt," or, "why is there a blot of peanut butter on the sofa?", or, "if you wear those ugly, scuffed shoes, I'm not going," or, "who brought that mud into the house (a nice way of saying, 'why did you bring mud into the house?')?"
Glen w/ bikes. With wifee on the other bike (both R1200 GS's), riding to AZ home on way back from OR.

Loved these Beemer riders, Glen and wifee's not cowering in fear at home in Phoenix, and, instead, engaging in an exciting long range motorcycle ride during a time when too many Americans have been exposed as subservient subjects and not as free, self reliant, sentient individuals. Coronavirus policy makers have relied far to little on the responsibility of individuals to make good choices.

While at Wasatch Bagel, Bishop does eggs outside, while making calls and handling correspondence.

Returning to the Wasatch Bagel routine has been nice, albeit now done on a table in the chilly outdoors.

Notwithstanding, the "stay at home routine" brought about many positive changes in our lives.

1. Learned to cook steel cut Irish oats.

2. Learned to cook really crispy bacon.

3. More daily three mile walks with TIMDT.

4. Deep dive, often with good friends and family, into the spectacular, under the radar, locales of Summit County: Echo to Henefer Historic Trail; Lake View Trail, Rockport State Park; Icy Springs Road; Rail Trail, Wanship, Echo and North of Quinn's Junction, just for starters.

5. World class knitter TIMDT going nuts with the knitting needle. Alone, she may be a principle cause of growing yarn shortage.

6. Numerous (more than normal) outings on the Duc over empty county roads...including regularly channeling I-80, between Wanship and US 40, as a Laguna Seca substitute.

7. Significantly ramped up HK, Sig Sauer, Ruger, Springfield, Stevens and 454 Casul extreme social distance enforcement training at Echo.

8. Weekly, Sunday family dinners transformed to picnics outdoors.

9. Quadrupling attendance at AM ROMEO coffee meetings by shifting to Zoom. Social engagement on steroids.

10. TIMDT's transformation from an eat outer to an experimental cook. Best offering to date? IKEA Swedish meatballs.

11. Return to beaucoup Classical music listening. Can't get enough of the fourth movement, Allegro Maestoso, of Saint Saens Third Symphony in C Minor, Opus 78 (Organ).

12. Steam showers increased from once a month to twice a day.

Reading has suffered during this period. I'm down from three to two books a month. Currently reading Dalrymple's magnificent book on the British East India Company, the Amazon.com of the 18th century.

There are lottsa risks to leaving the house...pushing the envelope on a steep trail, leaning into a high speed curve on the Duc, driving a car, or contracting a disease. While we experienced a lot of enjoyment staying at home, not going outdoors consistent with Summit County health guidelines was not an option for us.

Addendum:

Thanks again for the suggestion. All three were great reads. I agree with your analysis that the plots might be farfetched, but often wonder if stuff like this actually goes on.

Heading to PC this week. Hope to see you soon.
