Parked the F350 next to Suppressant's truck. Brief meet and greet with the amazing golfer/skier who built his job around his active lifestyle choice. Stihl and Mwah (sic) were wondering, just yesterday, if Suppressant was still skiing Deer Valley. Suppressant was a first chair regular, as was I, at PCMR during the 'naughts. Hyper good, hyper fast, skier. Good to see him.

These days, I prefer to measure myself in a ski hierarchy as opposed to a professional one...looking up to, and respecting, and ranking myself, to better skiers, like Suppressant, irrespective of perceived professional status. I'm lower on the ski ability hierarchy scale than I was on the professional scale....where I did OK enough.

The ratio of ski "betters" being more genuine than professional "betters" is higher for me. Same with motorcycles... though I've met my share of motorcycling "betters" assholes.

Pre Ski Snow Park Lodge: Eggs from Jose and Rachad with a wave. Plate cleaning by Bart. Good job all around.

Golf, Ice Cream, Montage, The Electrician, Ray, KK, Cleave, and Land hanging out to jabber at Snow Park.

Golf cracks me up with customer stories at exclusive ski shop where he works.

Probably because my short term memory is gone, I think every ski day is the best ever. But, there couldn't have been many past ski days better than today.

Epic bluebird. Coldish. 120 inch settled base. Outlier great runs groomed. Skiing alone, I stayed an extra 45 minutes and skied five more runs than I do in a normal 9 to 12 ski AM.

Among great runs skied today:

Reward
Peeler 2x
Magnet 2x
Jordanelle 2x
Evergreen (!!!!...huh?)

Up Carpenter lift with 20 year career Bronx fireman. Told him I'd visited, in 2016, Parkchester with former Parkchester resident, and good friend, Basketball. Fireman was amazed I could describe the basketball courts and the gargoyles on the corners of the Parkchester Bronx tenements.

Up Lady Morgan lift with young, local, mom, skiing alone, who said she was about to take her 6th lap on Magnet.

Up Lady Morgan lift with young grandmother from Mesa, AZ, who complained that last time she went up Lady Morgan, she turned right at the top and couldn't find an easy way down.

Up Quincy lift with 30 something real estate developer Dad from Orange County and his 12 year old daughter. Told him my favorite Orange County place there was Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. He agreed! Said he'd been there several times. — at Deer Valley Resort.
