DAILY SUMMIT COUNTY, UT WUHAN VIRUS ANALYSIS (SDT) as of Wednesday 17 APRIL 2020 (Coronavirus.Utah.Gov. 10:00 PM).

I have been noting for the last few days that Coronavirus.Utah.Gov is not reporting recoveries, and that, as such, the "number of cases" number, a cumulative aggregation of positive testings overstates the real number of tested County infections.

It turns out... learned from a Facebook exchange with Corrie Forsling, Summit County Treasurer, that Summit County HAS BEGUN to report Covid-19 cases net of recovery. See Summitcountyhealth.org.

The attached chart, last updated on 14 April 2020, three days ago, shows 61 active cases in the county... a decrease of some 136 cases from the peak outstanding active cases (ie. net of recoveries) of 197 on 27 March 2020.

The data is not "headlined" or emphasized in Summit County reporting, but as Corrie Forsling notes, it is there if you look for it. It's hard to conclude anything other than the fact that the county's infection position is improving rapidly. Summit County active cases of 61 looks a lot different than the Coronavirus.Utah.Gov total cumulative cases for Summit County of 316, as of 17 April 2020.

Caveat: The number of new cases in Summit County grew from 308 confirmed cases (16 April 2020) to 316 cases, today (17 April 2020), an increase of 8, or 2.6% (Again, this number is cumulative number of cases since testing first began... not "active cases" net of recoveries). It was reported by City Councilman Steve Joyce to our LSDM AM colloquy on 15 April 2020, that new hot spots had been discovered primarily amongst Park City's Hispanic population. Testing facilities have been established near primarily Hispanic neighborhoods (near Park City High School, for one) with nearby residents being encouraged to get tested. For this reason, it is possible that the underlying trend showing a regularly reducing number of active cases attenuate somewhat as possible new cases are identified in certain hot spots. — at Iron Canyon.
