Classic. Unchanging. Atavistic, deplorable food. Same menu today as 50's (check the image...back when cars were cars!).
Deservedly, by far, Utah's best and most famous restaurant.
Broccoli cheese soup

Corn on the cob.
Peach cobbler, vanilla ice cream
Drums: "Gordon Ramsey would not approve."
The photo is a wonderful example to support the theme being articulated by Robert Gordon, Peter Thiel and many others about technological stagnation. The same image could be taken today... some sixty five years later. The autos may be more reliable, have more gadgets, safety features etc. But, fundamentally, little has changed. Much of this thinking about culture in decline is captured in Ross Douthat's recently published book, "The Decadent Society, which I am currently reading.
