Bishop substitute organist.

Hymn 255. "Carry On." Fingering a bit too intricate for Bishop's pre palsied paws, so he fakes it, leaving out some of the notes, but playing no dissonant note. Bass coupler setting/stop rocks.

Does ok. The necessary big chords were there.

1000 plus attendance with overflow into RS room.

At the organ, Bishop flummoxed by powerful, 1000 voice congregation...suppresses emotion, and refocuses on music.

Bishop most impressed by teenage boy account of his pioneer ancestors coming from Winter Quarters, Nebraska, with one bullock and a cart as far as Coalville, Utah, where the bullock died. They holed up the winter in a Coalville cave, before finishing the 35 mile trip to Salt Lake City in the spring.

Mormon pioneer energy and aspiration then, seems to be alive and well today, if the size of today's congregation has anything to do with it.

Actually, Grisham’s first was “A Time to Kill” – IMO, still his best. Also an excellent movie – Matthew McConaughey when he was an unknown, and the reliably stellar Ashley Judd.
