Until now I've had my guns cleaned by the guys at Park City Gun Club. I have started to bring that expertise in house. Drums and I took advantage of the invitation of firearms expert friend, MH, to learn how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble my HK 45 semi-automatic pistol.

One concern about this venue is how safe it really is. A prime objective of a concert venue should be to do the utmost to keep its patrons safe.

How can such a beautiful creation be considered a noxious weed?

TIMDT's recent quest to find new places to eat out landed us here for lunch. Five-star venue. Very good. Though you can do nearly as well, for a lot less, at the nearest taco truck if you are indifferent to atmosphere.

Sad to see this costly delay emanating from Park City Planning Commission's freeze on Eagle Lift enhancement installation due to Vail's putative noncompliance with heretofore arcane, little used, Comfortable Carrying Capacity (CCC) rules. Taken in isolation, Vail's plan for upgrading the Eagle Lift is a major mountain improvement. Considering Vail's new lift proposal in the context of other complexities such as parking, traffic etc. is important, but it's still hard to understand why a costly shut down of new lift improvement plans was necessary to make the point. I was organ accompanist for hymns at the LDS Sacrament Meeting today. Four hymns included: 280, 184, 285, 156 plus prelude and postlude. 285 is "God Works in Mysterious Ways, His Wonders to Perform." It has an uncommon key signature, 3/2. The young female conductor and I had to work out the beat aforehand. As it happened, she did well.
Attendance was around 200. I loved seeing the many families sitting together in the congregation. I reflected on how the LDS seem to be pushing hard into cultural headwinds impeding traditional family formation. There is no alternative family option that can equate to the uniquely synergistic paradigm of a man and a woman raising a family. Appropriately, the two speakers were a mom and a dad with four kids who had recently moved into the ward. The family had lived in New York City, Paris, and Riyadh before moving to Park City. Having spent a chunk of my life in New York City, Paris, and the Middle East (if not Riyadh specifically) I wanted to go up and introduce myself. But I had to play the postlude music after the service, and they had gone by the time I had finished.
During the period of this diary post, in addition to the concert dinner noted above, we enjoyed dining out with Fish and Emily at WAR in St. George, UT: Montreal, Trinidad, and David, at Wildwood, in Utah County, and Maharajah and Comic Mom at Kita, in Park City.
Addendum:

PS. The rest of the shots were great. Love Montana and Wyoming and miss them both.
Good review. It’s on my list of books to read. J and I visited Lenin’s apartment in St. Petersburg a few years ago. It was surprisingly bleak.
