Picto Diary - 22 -31 December 2017 - Christmas at Home

Above: Christmas at home. 24 December 2017. Park City, UT.

Once again we resort to the brilliant innovation of having our Christmas tree on the outside, but still very much "in our home."

Above: Old buddies (double entendre). Bishop and el Contador. Don Pedros Restaurant. Evanston, WY. 28 December 2017.

We drove up to Evanston for some steak tacos and nice reminiscences.... such as flamenco in Madrid at 2:00 AM while sipping Marie Brizzards.

That same trip (circa 2010) we had been at the Bull Festival in Pamplona, where, over the years, el Contador had run with the bulls some 30 times (el Contador lived in Spain for seven years working for a major accounting firm).

I was thinking I'd run with the bulls, but, when I walked the course and found out there was no way to escape a bull running by you... such as slipping under a fence... I decided my age 65, clueless-to-the-bull-dynamic condition disqualified me from the attempt.

Congrats steve!

Tell Jay that I , like you, am a jazz fan. Look forward to a first cut, which I'll pass on to my friend, Larry Stahlberg, who DJs a radio show every Wednesday 6-8PM On WERU in Maine.

Good luck to your jazz group with the Utah connection. You’ve been a great example of how to take a potentially life transitioning moment and minimize the effect.
