Elk left early AM to return to Colorado.
Sorry Elk not able to meet ITYW, who is riding in to Monument Valley from Farmington, NM, to meet Commodore and Mwah (sic) mid morning.

ITYW, don't mess with Texas!
ITYW joins the ride. Started 21 August in San Angelo, TX. Rode 720 miles to Farmington, NM where he spent last evening. Joined Commodore and the Bishop this AM at 10:30 AM after riding from Farmington to Gouldings Lodge, 150 miles.
We have another 300 miles to ride today... destination Torrey, UT. Capital Reef National Park.
Over the last decade, ITYW and Mwah (sic) have motorcycled together in Ecuador, Vietnam, and southern Africa (South Africa, Botwswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Tanzania).

Was here yesterday with Elk and Commodore.
Bishop eying camera so as to get image of roadway (UT SR 261) 2000 feet below.
Above: Monument Valley to Torrey. US 163, UT SR 261, UT SR 95 (Bicentennial Highway), and UT SR 24.
Image 1. Bishop, ITYW and Commodore. Monument Valley, UT.
Image 2. US flag at Navajo Jewelry kiosk. Monument Valley, UT. Is imagery on flag legal?
Image 3. Bishop surveys Sipapu natural bridge, Natural Bridges National Monument. SR 95, Bicentennial Highway. Utah.
Image 4. Commodore and ITYW. Hite Crossing, Colorado River (Lake Powell). SR 95, Bicentennial Highway. Utah. Up river from the point of this image a rising lake (compared to last year) was visible. There is a long way to go to render Hite marina usable, but, a rising lake, year over year is a good sign.
Addendum:
Looks like good times!
Time is short - waste it wisely. :-)

Saw Feinstein in LV at the Smith Center. Fabulous! But we loved the outdoor concerts in Deer Valley.
Happy Summer!

Dear Steve,
Thanks for the pictures- if only because they confirm my advice to foreigners when they are contemplating their first visit to the U.S. and want advice as to where to go and what to see. My advice to them is- Southern Utah: magnificent geology closely packed.
Cheers,
Ahn Rhee, Larkspur, CA
Hey! You on the road again? I thought you were giving up motorbikes at 70! Keep on trucking
