Bishop, admittedly, hair on end, senses the nearby presence of "The White Lady," who drove a half century's worth of coal miners to madness. It is said that The White Lady is the sole reason for shutting down the otherwise lucrative Spring Canyon Coal Mine. Helper residents swear to having seen the ghost of The White Lady cackling near this spot on this or that Halloween over the last 70 years since the Spring Canyon mine has been closed. They don't call Spring Canyon a ghost town for nothing.

Note: Google the ghosts towns of Spring Canyon and nearby. Lots of ghost stories and many TV ghost stories and specials are listed. Hmmm.... authenticity? ghosts? We'll make it work!

TIMDT munches Polish dog at hot dog station adjacent to Hotel (downstairs, motorcycle museum in a fabulous restoration), upstairs, four five star AirBnb suites. This is not your father's Helper! Helper is not yet "discovered." It is close, and that is what makes it fun... being there when its almost up and running, but, all to yourself.
