Representing Park City High School (PCHS). Of 10 PCHS riders in his heat of 80 riders, Drums was #2 PCHS finisher. Drums lined up as #25 of 80 in start. Finished #9 of 80, so overtook 16 riders. He will start #9 in next race. Category: Junior Varsity Boys.

Addendum:

Those ladies in Helper who keep the arts active, once tried to create an alliance with Green River and Gunnison to counter the $$$ power of the urban parts of the state (the Arts Council considered Logan and Park City "rural" like us). Trouble is, there's a 100-mile drive from any one of our towns to any one of the others. Helper's festival looks charming; I'm glad they're having success.

You also reminded me about my 3 trips on the California Zephyr—twice all the way from Chicago. Normally, my Christmas and school's-out trips were by Greyhound, given that the bus was $10 cheaper. Once, I shared driving chores with a housemother who had a summer gig at Estes Park, and I took the train from there.

I enjoyed reading this Steve—what an interesting history you have with Peter and a longer-range perspective on his affect in the marketplace over the past few decades. Sounds like this author picked an angle to tell the story—not a true biographer. Just lay out the facts and let the reader make their own conclusions. I’m so weary of politically biased writers—from both sides!
