Skis in garage nearing end of season. I've used all these skis this season. Stockli Lasar AX, Stockli Lasar SC, and Kastle MX 88's.

Above: Park City Mountain Resort, Utah, April 2023. Caught up with Park City's foremost diehard skiers. TWO3, GUZZI, and Title. Guzzi is a pretender to joining John Hainey as Park City's main ski character. No one...NO ONE of his age (78) gets more vertical in a PCMR season than TWO3. No one NO ONE...has had an annual PCMR pass every year since PCMR opened 59 years ago than Title. These are true skiers in every sense of the word!

TIMDT Visit to Pulmonologist - 24 April 2023

Note to our kids:

Saw pulmonologist Scholand yesterday (24 April 2023). Results after starting medication were good, with no deterioration since last test several months ago.

Granny uses O2 at night, gets tired quickly. She attributes periodic diarrhea and stomach cramps to meds side effects.

Her appetite is erratic. Sometimes nothing tastes good, other times she eats well. She attributes appetite variability also to medium side effects.

Dr. Scholand was generally encouraged. We take it day by day and are glad that Granny remains interested in doing stuff. She likes working on the Ivins home.

Coup de Poudre.
No friends on a powder day.
5 inches new. Another April surprise. Really, these April powder days are not longer surprises. You can always count on a late season snowfall.
Only skied six runs, but under these conditions, 2x calories per run. Feel good about my performance, skills and stamina. Miners Camp break with Guzzi.

Larry the Legend has been in Park City working around and living in the ski scene since 1974. He is from Chicago and is a descendant of the Armenian diaspora post World War I. It is a tossup whether Larry the Legend or John Hainey is Park City's main ski character. I rode a lift with Hainey at Deer Valley earlier in the year. Both Larry the Legend and John Hainey are loved and deservedly respected by all Parkites. Mountain towns are morphing into upscale suburbs. If for no reason other than affordability, ski bums and ski characters, both of which have been essential to maintain the unique, funky flavor of skiing, are disappearing from our habitat. Park City is blessed with ski-characters like John Hainey, Larry the Legend, and the upcoming Mike Sonzini. If you're lucky enough, you'll get to ski with one of them!

Mike is pretender to becoming Park City's main ski character. He skis and snowboards both Park City and Deer Valley. He works at Aloha Sports and Deer Valley during ski season. Mike is a native Utahn, who when he's not skiing over 160 days a year (remember there's Mt. Hood and Beartooth pass open all year) is motorcycling on one of his four Moto-Guzzis in some obscure desert in the American west.

Park City Ski Characters Series. Bill Gray. 35 years head PCMR Ski Patrol. 45 years on the Patrol. 48 years worked for PCMR. Ski note: Amazing final week at PCMR. Today quintessential blue bird spring skiing. I hit perfect soft snow windows on the Queen, Muckers, and Dynamite. Hung out with PCMR diehard Ski personalities at Miners Camp break. Bill Gray, Richard Southam, Mike Sonzini, and Larry Goshgarian. Saw from the lift the legendary Park City character, John Hainey, skiing below. Informed that other sk legends, Tom Oliver and Jerry Wilhelmini, were skiing today, but they left early and didn't come to break. Talk on the lift: All very happy with final bonus week at PCMR. Only two lifts operating (Crescent and Silverlode), but still a ton of good skiing on ample grooming.

Coast Guard George waves to Stockli and The Commodore, former buddies at the discredited, outlier coffee group at Park City Roasters.
