Description

Filmed during the annual 24-hour endurance race at Le Mans, France, in 1970, this fast-paced drama follows Michael Delaney (Steve McQueen), a Porsche driver haunted by the memory of an accident at the previous year's race in which a competing driver was killed. To top things off, Delaney also finds himself increasingly infatuated with the man's widow (Elga Andersen). The minimal storyline focuses on Delaney's race-long rivalry with his Ferrari-driving arch nemesis, Erich (Siegfried Rauch).

Awesome about the shooting - I want to go! Call me sometime! Where were you? Richardson Flats?

And BTW - I liked the FVF movie too!

Steve,

Hope all is well. Always enjoy your diaries.

The movie Ford versus Ferrari was terrific. My husband Alberto Naon, who raced at LeMans twice and placed 9th driving a BMW Sauber, ruined Porches consecutive 10 place finishes says it was very well done. Saw it twice. He also raced in Seibring 24 hours and many other circuits nationally and internationally. Its an exciting sport and he still races to this day, with his son, under FARA (a Florida racing organization) and used to race under SCCA, as well.

Hi Steve:

Since you told me the micro wave was watching me, I've disconnected it. I have also wrapped it in aluminum foil for when using it.

Pics are how I am handling facial recognition when in public places. Helmet with sun glasses deals with CCTV on roads. Also purchased a drone and satellite blocker for the handle bars on the motorcycle(s). No Smartphone and my Rolex is from Pre-Internet days, so no monitoring my movements through a digital or Smart watch.

For my writing, I use a second computer, one not connected to the Internet, so no AI free to AMAZON or GOOGLE to copy my style for Kindle/Amazon books.
Have switched to a space blanket for sleeping at night, one of the think metal ones also used by fire fighters...Have also removed the light bulbs from my sleeping room.
We also disconnected our CCTV unit from sending images over the Net to our tablets....

Hadn't thought about the micro wave, so thanks for the tip :-)

Hi Steve,

I read your blog of date in detail and learnt a lot about the Le Mans race.

I then stumbled into this article by Conde-Nast on the same subject. I thought it would be interesting for you as well. Click on the link below to read it.
Look forward to meeting you and Margaret in a few days.

Dear Steve,

I appreciate you a great deal. This was sent quite awhile ago but just finished reading your and TIMTD's (know I have initials wrong) insights from recent Hoover Institution meeting. So good! Thanks for taking time to describe thiis and all LSDM meetings. In So. Cal and showing info to Brad, particularly the Wiener stuff. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Jack’s books are really great. I’ve read both 3 times and never was bored re-reading. And you are telling the truth: these books keep you awake well into the night. His first book ruined my vacation on a quiet island. I went to bed reading and then it was 5 AM!!! Two nights in a row!
Attached are a couple images I created to support Jack Carr’s social media efforts.
Can’t wait for book 3 - not to mention the TV series!

Thanks for the recommendation. You’ve never lead me astray. I’ve bought the two books. Please say hello to Margaret.
