Picto Diary - 25 March 2019 - Mohs
Above: Chart showing snowfall levels by year at Alta ski resort since 1945...the year of my birth to 2017/2018.
Note: 2018/19 snow not yet completed. YTD 22 March 2019 is 502 inches...full year could achieve record snowfall and be the longest bar on the entire chart.
Above: Bishop. Mohs surgery bandage on nose. 25 March 2019.
As I write, here, on 01 April 2019, I've just had the bandage removed ... one week after the surgery.
I did not know at the time that dermatologist performing the procedure would advise no exercise during the one week recovery period. So, I've been off skiing for the week. Had I taken the trouble to find out about this requirement, I would have probably scheduled the procedure to take place after ski season.
There was no pain during the recovery... but, the bandaging and the itching nose was a bother. Hard to shower without getting bandage wet... a no no.
Best get it done, though, one way or the other. Nurse who took stitches out today said everything looked normal. I have to go back in a week for a post surgery review by the dermatologist. I'm surprised about how many people I talked to during the week (many at Wasatch Bagel LSDM) who have undergone this procedure.
It was a week to get stuff done, though. TIMDT was in Las Vegas with Rudy Jr.'s and Portland's family for most of the week. I didn't go out much. I ransacked the fridge and the larder till nothing was left.
I missed TIMDT, but, for middling periods I don't mind being alone. LSDM in the AM. Lottsa reading and catch-up on diary, book reports, LSDM speaker notes... generally a movie or streaming video series at night.
