Pre skiing turning tips at Snow Park from 'Bird.

Skied pre Cushings break with the Greensboro Speed Skiing Team. PGA, My Belle, Robbie, Christy, Bobby, and Jack.

Outstanding groomed conditions. Intermittent bluebird. — at Deer Valley Resort.

Above: (28) PGA and Mayor on Supreme...both members of the Greensboro Speed Skiing Team. — at Deer Valley Resort. 28 January 2019.

Snow Park ski tips from 'Bird. 28 January 2019.

Snow Park egg and sausage cooked by Jose.

Gondola ride with the Actuary. We discuss the bear poking DV parking employee...messing with the Bishop's head. Too clever by half.

Carpenter ride with Bonnie, Comic Mom, and their ski instructor, Jeremy.

Cushings break with The Greensboro Speed Skiing Team...and skiing several runs thereafter with them.

10:00 AM fog atop Bald...otherwise, partly sunny. Great snow...but, how come not groom Orion and Gnats Eye? Both were groomed daily under the old management.

(28). No image. Ohl, 86. Homeward Bound ski run. Deer Valley. 29 January 2019.

Ohl: one of the original Park City Ski Geezers. Great day skiing Ohl's run choices. Over 80's get to chose the program. We skied from 9:30AM to 12:30 PM. Skied a lot of Carpenter runs. Nobody there!

Ohl. Providing inspiration to 70 somethings everywhere! — at Deer Valley Resort.

Nebo at far right. Into the sun. Love the shadow contours of this angle.

Skied alone.

Pre ski. Very much appreciated ski turning tips at 2002 Room from ski instructor 'Bird. "Use big toe to lead turns"

Hi to Mike at Carpenter base.

Hi to Actuary running gondola. Actuary said Golf and Stihl were five cars ahead. Never saw them as they likely rushed to Sultan and Mayflower...where I rarely go. That being said, today would have been a good day to ski Stein's Way.

20 year DV season pass holder like me on Mountaineer Lift. We agree in following: How come not groom certain greens? Navigator, Gnat's Eye, Keetley? Always groomed in past.

Two Chicago 40 Somethings on Wasatch. Thrilled to be in 25 degree DV warming up. Said it took 'em twelve hours to get out of O'Hare. Lots breaking down, they say, in Chicago 's intensive, record breaking cold.

Quincy Lift broke. Took Red Cloud Lift. No wait. No big deal.

PGA joins at Cushings break. Last day he and My Belle are here til return 11 February. Oooooh...good people this Greensboro bunch.

Two solitary laps on groomed black diamond Magnet. Best conditions this year. Orion: best shape this year. Feeling very good on these hyper steep runs (knock on wood).

Fritz and John one chair behind me on my 3rd ride up Lady Morgan. Stopped at the top to talk. Fritz' college friend, John, straddled my 70, 71 stint at HBS. Was there the year before and two years after. Interim he was in Air Force. John also worked at OTS (DC?) when I was at ASF in Miami. Didn't have time to talk more as they were headed to Magnet, which I had already skied twice.

Austin, TX guy on Empire Lift says tech, not music, education or government, main Austin economic driver.

Typically slippery, groomed runs like Hidden Treasure, Nabob and Big Stick, were surprisingly good. Reason likely that few skiers were on the mountain to ski-off the good snow today?

Perfect bluebird. Great grooming. Soft, but not wet, snow. Exhilarating vistas. Worked a bit on Bird's toe turning tips. — at Deer Valley Resort.

Getting closer to TIMDT at Nordstrom E bar.

When I sit here...usually snoozing...I know she is near by. Buying an I Phone at Apple? Looking for shoes at Nordstrom? Looking at knick knacks at Crate and Barrel?

I know she will call or come soon...she always does

Addendum:

Very similar to Shackleton's Endurance. Except in the Antarctic expedition no one died.
