Hanging it up... at least at Deer Valley for this ski season. There is a remote possibility that I get another 2023/24 season ski day before all the resorts are shut for the season. However, a trip to India accompanying the Koessler family precludes me skiing at Deer Valley before 10 April 2024 closing date. I've been on 565 lift rides year to date which, when each ride is multiplied by 1000 (vertical feet) means that I have skied 565K vertical feet this year. I guarantee that my rudimentary vertical feet calculation methodology will get me within the margin of error for total vertical feet! My highest vertical feet ski production was circa 2009 when I skied 142 days and 2.6 million vertical feet. That year I skied every marked run and all of the lift lines at Park City Mountain Resort at least once. For the years from 2005 thru 2022 I skied over 1 million vertical feet each year. I'm slowing down, but not giving up!
