Picto Diary - 29, 30, 31 August 2019 - Repertoire
Above: Bishop and Sugarhouse trolley at Fairmont station. Salt Lake City, UT. 29 August 2019.
While awaiting TIMDT having a Moh's surgery on her nose, I walked the three mile trolley line from Fairmont Station to Central Pointe Station. I took the trolley back.
This time, rather than following the track into vacant lot no mans land, and getting waylaid by the cops, I looked for, and found, just off of 2100 South, a legitimate access to the Crown Pointe station.
The parkway aligning the track, at least from Fairmont Station until State Street, is beautifully cared for... gardens... flowers... clean concrete pathway. There is gentrification of the erstwhile tattered neighborhood underway. Lots of apartments. Many of the facings of industrial buildings backing on to the walkway are bedecked with murals.
The idea of a trolley line from Sugarhouse to Crown Pointe, using an old railway grade, where passengers can access TRAX, was an excellent one from my point of view. The walk down and the ride back is a lot of fun... allows me to channel my inner Gabriel Allon or Mahatma Gandhi (both notorious walkers).
No entry for 30 August 2019.

Starting keyboard repertoire.
A world first. No one ever has started a repertoire with these three songs:
Doe A Deer
City of New Orleans
I Don't Know How to Love Him
All key of C. So what? "C" fits my vocal range, and... you have to start somewhere. If I ever play these in an ensemble I can modulate to the preferred key easily.
All done by ear, even knowing that chord patterns are readily available on the internet. I enjoy the discipline of having to work it out for myself.

The great wildlife sightings just keep piling up here at 7100 feet of altitude on the back side of the Wasatch.
