Page 40,41 "Drummer's Work Book," by Jay Lawrence, Bud's principle drum instructor. Drill entails a syncopated bass drum and high hat beat coordinated with 14 different stick routines on the snare.

Metronome set at 70 beats per minute.

Bud and Grandpa had a bit of fun later, grandpa on keyboard, doing disco routines including fills and solos.
