Quincy Lift up and running after five days off line. Deer Valley. 09 February 2017

On Carpenter Lift, ski patroller said:

Cogs on gears in cable speed transfer case broke.

Astute lift operator heard it happening and immediately stopped lift.

A few riders had to be manually off loaded.

Part in SLC and guy from Provo who knew how to fix.

Not an easy fix. All but main flywheel had to be disassembled to install new transfer case.

Mechanics worked night and day to fix.

"Perfect Storm."

We made good use of the time. Twins' Dad, TIMDT and Mwah (sic) took them to the bunny lifts (no crowds) and did about 5 runs. After cookies, the Carpenter was clear and we took a couple of more runs.
