Mynduveroan and Glinda compete in Novice. Mynduveroan has competed mostly until now in Beginner Novice. Competition is now getting tougher, jumps higher etc.

Mynduveroan and Glinda clear final jump of a flawless jumping run. Yesterday, cross country was also well performed, but on dressage, Mynduveroan and Glinda finished in the middle of the pack of fifteen. Dad, B!b says, overall, she'll be lucky to score a sixth place, all said and done.

Whah???? High placers on yesterday's dressage mess up their jumping for one reason or another. Mynduveroan and Glinda Show with a third position. Best outcome for Mynduveroan and Glinda since they have moved up from Beginner Novice to Novice. By the way, most Novice participants at this event were adults. Congratulations Mynduveroan and Glinda! Also in image, TIMDT and B1b.

PS. The pair (horse and rider) also win TIP ribbon - reserve champion. Awarded for best young horse learning the ropes.

Addendum:

Steve,

After reading your e-mail, I had to wait several moments for my ego to deflate so I could fit into the office exit/entry door- otherwise my swollen ego wouldn’t fir through the door.

Thanks for the flattery.

A good ride.

Steebo:

I always enjoy your posts and pictures on the “out and about on the Duc” series. And please give my best regards to Ahn Rhee when you see him again.

Certainly, they could send a “kill engine” signal to a car. I wonder if that has been tried on a hot pursuit getaway criminal by the police.

EVs make sense for driving in urban areas which have high levels of smog and poor air quality. That way the pollution caused by the creation of electricity for the EV is not imposed on the overburdened urban area. City driving are shorter trips in general and can make the recharging of the batteries, more tolerable.

EVs also make sense for energy conservationists like Fred who is producing electricity for his EV through solar panels.

Hoops, Do you believe EVs should be mandated in large urban areas?

Steve,

I agree with you on the EVs. I have found the perfect solution.

I bought a 2023 Cayenne Turbo S, eHybrid. To get the HP thrill, which we both like, with both the electric motor and the V8 running in Boost mode, I have in excess of 700 HP. It is a plug-in hybrid, and I plug it in each evening, like a toaster, with my garage charger and I get range of 28 miles fully charged. Twenty-eight miles is perfect. I drive all over Aspen on electricity. I drive all over Denver on electricity. When I drive Aspen/Denver/Aspen, which I do often, I set the Mode control on Auto eHybrid and the damn car figures out when to use the V8 and when to use the electric motor. I arrive in Denver having used very little gas and I still have some juice left over. I have a Mode control which gives me the option of all electric; Auto eHybrid; or Sport (just the V8). I never have to worry about running out of electricity and finding a charging station because I have the V8. Maybe the best engineered Porsche I have owned.

I had one more car itch I had to scratch at my advanced age (OBE - Over Bloody Eighty). I have ordered the new 2025 911 Carrera GTS4 eHybrid. Four-wheel drive, four-wheel steer. Porsche have engineered their 3.6 Litre pancake six with a single turbo and a small electric motor that adds boost to the single turbo charger and also drives the transmission, so the performance is that of a 4.0 Litre TurboS with two turbo chargers, but the car is lighter and more efficient. I wind up with about 520 HP and 0-60 under three seconds. Like your Duc. You cannot charge it at home or at a charger, it charges itself, and it cannot run on electricity alone. I may get the car in the Spring. Should be fun. Perhaps a drive from Aspen to Park city is in the cards.
