Trump as a Disrupter

I have been an unequivocal supporter of Donald Trump since he "came down the escalator" in 2015 to confirm his candidacy for president of the United States. At that time, I felt the country needed a disruptor as its leader. Trump is a disruptor. He is an outsider. He is not bound by the conventional patterns of managing the US government. In my own business career, as a business turnaround operative, I have seen numerous times how managing outside of the norm can save a company where more conventional management techniques lead to failure. The country is in a perilous situation. Following is a quote from my 2016 endorsement of DJT for president:

POLICY PRESCRIPTIONS. Ruling class leadership (as represented by HRC) has ruined America. Financial mismanagement (excessive debt, overspending, student loans, collapse of public schools, welfare policies leading to family disintegration, weakest recovery since WWII), middle class shrinkage, infrastructure decay, uncontrolled immigration, flaccid millennial generation, endless wars, and slipping personal freedom. America has lost its mojo. More big government solutions from HRC will lead to a continuation of US decline. Trump's program, by contrast, is pro US recovery and growth.

My entire 2016 and 2020 endorsements of DJT appear here:  Picto Diary - 29,30 September 2020 - 2020 Presidential Endorsement | Stephen DeWitt Taylor

I couldn't have been more pleased with DJT's successful presidency from 2016 to 2020: Disruptor Trump's outcomes tell the tale. Tax cuts and broad-based deregulation spurred a growing economy. US deterrence strengthened. No new wars were started during the Trump presidency. Rocket Man (Kim Jong Un, President of North Korea) launched no rockets. Rather than sending Iran money, disruptor Trump took out 2IC Iranian terror head Qasem Soleimani with a drone. Vladimir Putin was quiet and important - disruptive - trade pushback against China took hold. On the culture front, support of religious freedom, free speech, and gun rights were strengthened with the "disruptive" appointment of three constitutional constructionists as judges to the Supreme Court. I looked forward to a second term where Trump could continue his heretofore successful pursuit of getting the country back on track.

Rigged 2020 Election

I was shocked when widespread "rigging" to favor Biden/Harris contributed to derailing Trump's reelection in 2020. Mark Zuckerberg poured some $400 million dollars into Democratic party ground activities in key swing state voting districts (a move for which Zuckerberg, has since, conveniently, after the fact, apologized). Fifty former US intelligence bigs lied to suppress exposure of the president's son Hunter Biden's laptop which contained information calling to attention to serious Biden family grifting. Social media platforms delisted Trump supporters and algorithmically suppressed circulation of arguments in support of Trump. Election laws were broken in several swing states where voting authorities ignored required state legislature approval to implement special vote by mail procedures due to Covid restrictions. Massive illegal ballot harvesting and ballot box stuffing was caught on tape in Georgia.

Biden/Harris Administration - Back to the Future.

Republicans were unprepared to effectively challenge Democrat election rigging and Joe Biden was peacefully transitioned to become President of the United States.... only to preside over a horrifying reversion to the American decline that disruptor Trump had stymied during his term as president. During Biden's presidency, overspending gave rise to crippling inflation on the economic front, control of the southern border was lost, and on the international front, US deterrence collapsed. Biden's incompetence was easily noted by international actors after a series of foreign policy faux pas. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken was dressed down in humiliating fashion by Chinese diplomats in Anchorage. The world was stunned by Biden's humiliating withdrawal from military involvement in Afghanistan. US leadership looked foolish as it stood flat footed while a Chinese spy balloon drifted over the US mainland. It is not surprising that following Biden administration ineptitude chaos reared its head around the globe, and widespread distrust in America has obtained.

Argument for Trump in 2024

So... it's deja vu all over again and like 2016 Trump's proven successful disruptive leadership is needed more than ever in 2024 to put the skids on rapidly accelerating American decline experienced during the Biden/Harris administration. Action is required on four fronts: economy, border, defense/deterrence, and culture.

Economy: US debt is now at the highest levels since WWII exceeding 100% of GDP and worsening. Four years of inflation have given rise to a huge poor to rich wealth transfer. Notwithstanding pay increases, wage earners have taken an effective cut in pay over the last four years. As a consequence, consumer indebtedness has reached unprecedented levels. Here Trump's palliatives of tariffs and Elon Musk deep state cost cutting may lead to short term economic pain but over the medium term these actions will strengthen jobs in US manufacturing and put the country on a more sustainable budgetary trajectory. With stronger economic fundamentals in place, a 4% GDP growth rate and debt reduction becomes an attainable goal. Harris's same old spend spend spend economic plan will accelerate the US government's growing indebtedness and descent into penury.

Border: The US needs to gain control over its southern border via more border agents, a fence, and the latest electronic surveillance options (google Anduril). Asylum seekers entering the US illegally should not be rewarded with de facto temporary residency in the United States. The anchor baby rule should be eliminated. For new legal immigrants, primary emphasis should be on qualifications... eg. Immediate green cards to tech PhD's from US universities, more Nigerian accountants, fewer French socialists, fewer Venezuelan criminals etc. There should be no path to citizenship for anyone who entered the country illegally. A three-year renewable, employer sanctioned, biometric work permit should be made available to accommodate labor shortages. In country illegals can avail of the work permit option. Trump supports border control. Harris does not. Trump is the clear choice for president on the border issue alone.

Deterrence: Machiavelli notoriously maintained that leaders are better feared than loved. Trump was feared by world leaders during his term as president. Accordingly, there were no new wars during his presidency and, as mentioned above, foreign leaders played nice. Looking forward, Trump has promised to rebuild the military with increased military spending and to eradicate the social discord within the military ranks which have led to recruitment shortfalls arising from teaching troops woke dogma. Look for a quick end to the Ukraine war under disruptor Trump. There is no reason why the US should not be friends with Russia. The Ukraine issue is essentially a regional matter. Russia has learned the hard way that exporting its culture in the Bolshevik era did not come without overwhelming costs. Russia wants to sell gas to Europe, not take it over. Trump has already, during his first term, demonstrated his necessary commitment to confront China with fair trade policies. Trump, via the Abraham Accords, was on the verge of securing peace in the Middle East until, sensing US weakness under feckless Biden/Harris, Iran and its terrorist proxies sewed foment throughout the region. With Trump back as president, I look for tensions in the Middle East arising from Biden/Harris fecklessness to cool. Think Soleimani.

Culture: The US became the world's greatest country with a value system that rewards merit and inculcates a sense of personal responsibility amongst its citizens. Biden/Harris have embraced wokeism a social and political movement that seeks to address and correct social injustices inequality, and discrimination though government coercion to achieve equal outcomes. The merit/personal responsibility paradigm as a template for American progress will be reinforced by disruptor Trump. Harris, who is, herself, a beneficiary of woke ideology, will continue pushing for woke indoctrination in American institutions. Accordingly, in view of Trump's belief in a merit based, personal responsibility-based society, I favor Trump in the 2024 presidential election. There are other items in the culture category such as government paid transgender surgery. Harris supports this. Trump... and I... do not.

Other Reasons to Support Trump

Trump is a patriot who loves the United States. He has given up personal wealth to serve his country. Showing strength of character, Trump has literally taken a bullet for his country and yet courageously persists in his quest for the presidency.

To derail Trump's candidacy, his Democrat opponents have resorted to fomenting phony scandals, lying to suppress the truth, fascist partnerships with legacy and social media to suppress free speech, and have "trumped" up legal cases against Trump a la Lavrentiy Beria, head of Stalin's secret police: "Show me the man, I'll show you the crime..." not to mention assassination attempts. These venal anti-Trumpers are not people with whom I wish to identify. Give me DJT's disruptive coarseness any day compared to the wholesale unscrupulousness of his detractors. Differentiating in Trump's messaging between braggadocio and truth is not hard to do. On the big stuff, Trump has proven adept in honoring his commitments.

Trump sets the example of a successful family man at a time when woke culture militates against traditional families. 20% of American women elect not to have children which has contributed to a US birthrate lower than replacement rate. Trump's opponent has not had children of her own and advocates for termination of life for unwanted children outside the womb.

Trump does not buy into the "trumped up," exaggerated anthropogenic climate emergency which is supported by Harris and the left. The climate emergency has spawned numerous, costly, wasteful government subsidized spending boondoggles in the name of saving the earth. Start with wind turbines.
Trump is authentic. Focus groups don't visibly drive his speaking. He speaks sans teleprompters. He has an incredible sense of humor. Kamala is a cypher whose words, when unscripted, are word salads and when scripted represent Marxist dogma.
Trump has been able to recruit an incredible team of really smart, successful, high-profile supporters. Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, J.D. Vance, Vivek Ramaswamy, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. An important indicator of a leader's ability is the people he attracts to help him. His opponent lost 92% of her staff during her first three years of VP due to her laziness and anger fits:

Conclusion

Trump is the more likely candidate to get America on the right economic path, to regain control of the southern border and to restore American deterrence. Trump advocates a society were merit and personal responsibility are virtues and where social engineering, and anti-racism, the favored ideologies of his opponent, are not. Trump has proven his ability to reverse American decline during his first term. Accordingly, I cast my vote for Donald Trump for President of the United States in 2024.
