Twitter is doomed

Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter will not end up well if Musk tries to make the social media giant a free speech platform. The progressive left, now dominant and thriving on Twitter, can only survive in an environment of censorship of conservatism, because their own big government and radical cultural ideas are unacceptable to the average voter. It's easier for the left just to shut out conservatives rather than have their radical ideology exposed to robust debate. Giving free reign to conservatives on Twitter will drive away progressive users and fellow traveler woke corporate advertisers. Are progressives really going to hang around Twitter when conservatives are allowed to freely promote Ivermectin, argue that Trump won the 2020 election, or that only women can give birth? Rather than hoping to be heard on Twitter, conservatives would be better off joining nascent true free speech platforms such as GETTR, Parler or Truth Social.
