Why Trump has the inside track to being elected President in 2024.
My (SDT) transcription of Mark Halperin's take on DJT 2024 prospects as relayed on a Commentary Magazine podcast last week:
Look. I've (Mark Halperin) recently been to a couple of Trump rallies. MAGA supporters seem to be stronger than ever. Here are four reasons that cause me to believe that Trump has a good shot at recapturing the presidency:
1. Quality of Republican prospects is overstated. None has national traction.
2. DJT campaign staff is one of the best in recent memory. Susie Wiles, Chris Lacivita, Brian Jack, Tony Fabrizio, Steven Cheung, Liz Harrington, Sergio Gor and Gary Colby. Trump, interestingly, ignoring the "bomb throwers" - Bannon and Guliani.
3. Flawed Democrat candidate, Joe Biden or any other.
4. Corporate press continues to ignore the growing intensity and depth of DJT's populist support.
