126 miles of weaving, undulating highway through the little populated Oregon Outback.

Virtually empty, new surface, curving, undulating highway. No wind. Stark, hilly, sandy, brush covered, empty, but for the occasional ranch by a stream, landscape. Ever hypnotizing Duc drone. No Walking Mask People. No Walking Dead. No Zombies. Nirvana ride.

Today's Ashland, is now suffused with unemployed tattooed actors and restaurant workers, homeless, aging hippies, coffee houses, struggling foodie restaurants, and resident California retiree, Obama acolyte, soi disant oenophiles.

I've been to Ashland, usually by motorcycle, to see Shakespeare and Joyce, 20 times over the last twenty years. This is my first visit "to see Aunt Joyce" since her passing in 2018. Good aunt...good friend.
